The pleasure of helping people to be comfortable in their homes has kept Dave Hiles on a mission. A 2.5-decade mission, that is, as he, his wife, Lisa, and his family are celebrating the 25th anniversary of Hiles Bros. Plumbing and Heating, a Summit Hill business Dave started back in 1983. Through years of working with and for people, Hiles Bros. became a highly-successful service-oriented company that is now in its third decade. "To me, the big positive thing of our business is the fact that we have good employees, people who are conscientious... People know that. They also know that we're going to be there for them, during the night, if need be, and in difficult times in the winter," he said. Throughout the business career, Hiles Brothers has been a visible force in numerous community endeavors, most especially the Carbon-Tamaqua Unit of the American Cancer Society. In addition, Dave and Lisa are both Panther Valley High School graduates, which prompts them to assist the school's Alumni Association and many other Panther Valley events.
